Still Anyone's Game!!!

So wk6 is behind us, and for some of us, it's time time to dig in and put up a better fight or get left behind. In the AFC the Six Seventeen Raiders are looking like they are gonna walk into the Playoffs with a 4-2 record. These big body boys are starting to find themselves and are putting a great team on the field every Sunday. Their games are not as quick as maybe others are but that could have been because they were getting tired quickly. These guys are in great shape, don't get us wrong, but when you play at 100% on every down, it starts to take a toll on you. Now that we are mid way through the season, these guys are not getting tired any more, which is bad news for the rest of the league. With a 4-2 record and only 5 games left... it may be too late to take this team out of the Playoffs.
The defending champs, Mad Ink Browns are down but not out. they still have a shot of getting to the big show with a disappointing 1-5 record. Yes, they still have a shot. If they can recapture the #2 spot in the AFC they get to go to the Playoffs and in the post season, it only takes 1 win !!! They struggled in the first half on the season, and really couldn't find themselves and it showed on Sundays. It looked to us as if they didn't know if they should a dominate force on defense or if they should look to the offense to win their games. Hopefully, they found something to cling on to this past Sunday as they go into a game that could mean the end of an era. The Browns have been in each of the past 3 Superbowls and winning 2 of them. This team has accomplished allot of "1st" in this league. 1st to clinch a Superbowl appearance in just 6 games. 1st to win 2 Superbowls with 2 completely revamped teams. 1st to take a game into double overtime. And now this could the 1st time they watch the Superbowl from the same view as the fans.
The Hyde Park Patriots are always a threat to win every game except for maybe week 1. But since then, they have worked on putting the right players in the right spots to help them become a team you cannot sleep on. At any moment, this team can take a "win" from ANY team in this league. There is not one team in this league that has not gotten worried about losing to these group of guys, as they play them. Their 1-5 record traps opponents into believing this team is a joke. The joke is on you if you believe that. Playing this team, you immediately realize that it isn't gonna be an "easy win." They will score 1 and before you know it, they are on their way to score their 4th and you're wondering how did that happen. This team is small but deadly. It is going to interesting to watch this upcoming Sunday as they take on the defending champs with hopes of taking 2 out of the 3 meetings between them. Doing this will most likely take the defending champs out of the Playoffs, or at least make it extremely difficult for them to get there. And if the Raiders think that it will easy to see the Patriots in the post season, let us remind them that the Patriots gave them a battle just last week.
The NFC is just too close to call it just yet. All 3 teams are just too damn good to favor any one of them. They all have different strengths and weaknesses that make it a challenge to pick one to win the division. The only thing we can say is that the healthiest team is the Fresco Inc Saints. They have also changed the most during the season. It looks to us, that they have finally found what the Saints are going to be known for. They are starting to have fun out there, and maybe that's the key to their success. They have met the Eagles twice this year and have split it 1 each. They have only played the Falcons once and the Saints took that one. They are on a 3 game winning streak and it doesn't look like they are slowing down any time soon. the Saints have a 4-2 record and will playing the Eagles at 5-1 to determine who is the better team. If the Saints keep rolling as they have been, they will tie the Eagles with a 5-2 record each. And by beating the Eagles twice it would put them over the Eagles and in that number 1 spot in the NFC and if we are not mistaken, in the League.
The U.M. Eagles have allot of injuries to their line up and need the back ups to step up in order to make it a game against the Saints. The Eagles would need to be on their "A" game to come home with another "W" and have the leagues best record. This would make the best team in the NFC and would basically put them in the Playoffs. This team has allot of work to do if they are planning on making their run now. You can see that they entered the season playing a certain type of football. It looked to us as if they were going away from their strengths and working on certain type of plays. This past Sunday it looked as if they went back to what they know and it showed. Could it be that this team had a plan for this season and not a week by week basis? Could it be that this team is planning on bringing everything together in the Playoffs and/ or Superbowl? Can they still do it with all the injuries? Its gonna be interesting to watch what they do this upcoming Sunday.
Dem Falcons Boyz are far from done. They were missing allot of players this past Sunday and have the same problem as the U.M. Eagles. They have a Injured Reserve list that is bigger than their roster. They didn't like how the finished the game against the Saints, and look for them to come into this game with that chip on their shoulder that it seems they have misplaced. They play the Raiders for the 3rd and final time and hope to have the same outcome as the other 2 times. They say it's hard for a team to beat another for the 3rd time in a row. And normally, we support that theory. But we look at the film of their last meeting and it looked to us as if the Falcons were more dominate than their first meeting. Did they find a weakness in the Raiders that everyone else have missed? Is it that the Falcons chip only shows up when they play this team? We think this team is one of the most well balanced teams in this league. They have a great mixture of big body boys and fast as lightning players. Playing against this team is a problem. You can't focus on just one player. If you worry about the run, then look back and watch your CBs get MOSSED!!!!. If you worry about those WRs beating your secondary, then be prepared to see their RBS run past them for a score. In order to give yourself a shot, your defense has to be as balanced as their offense. We haven't seen that yet. Yes they have injuries, but they still make things happen. The biggest impact to the team would be the injury to the "FattestBoy" Abel. We believe that he is the voice of that defense and the way that yells out coverage on the defense, they will definitely miss that from here on out. Hopefully he can still make the games and continue to be an important part of that team from the sidelines. They will surely miss his playing ability but hopefully by having bark out orders from the sideline, it can make up for him not being on the field.
We have said it before but it is truly the most important week for all the teams to cement their names in M2SPORTS history.
