2013 M2SPORTS CHAMPS

Congrats

End of Another Season

So with just the Pro bowl left to play.  The season is now over.  We seen a team go the whole year put teams away and only to lose the last game of the year and lose in the playoffs.  We've seen a team that's been an important part of this league go to end without winning a game.  The defending champs come close to repeating and two young new teams meet each other in the Bowl.  This season has been very competitive and seems like its only gonna get better.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank not just the players, but the dedicated family and fans that show up each and every Sunday to root for their teams.  This thing was put together to us something to do and keep our young men out of trouble. It has grown into a league that is being talked about by people we don't know and it's in a positive light. We thank you all and hope to see all of you back next season as this thing of ours continues to grow and get better.  We have teams already trying to reserve a spot for next season and others talking about combining into a super team.  Well we will see what happens and we know it will be good.
I love this thing of ours.

Playoffs

So game one of the playoffs starts at 12pm and it will be the defending champs Falcons vs the Cowboys. Immediately following that game is the Raiders vs the Steelers.  Winner move on....  everyone else gets to watch.  Love this thing of ours.

One Game Left

So after week 10 we almost have our playoff picture complete for the NFC. With the Falcons win over the Seahawks it  gives them a spot in the wildcard game.  Now it goes to wk11 and the game to watch is going to be Seahawks vs Cowboys. This game is important to both.  Win and you're in and lose you go home.  Teams don't wanna see the Cowboys in the playoffs.  The team is on fire and have taken out good teams more than once.  This team isn't lucky...  their talented.  And that scares other teams.  Seahawks are a good team but are their worst enemy.  When they play as one they smother other teams.  But when they get on each other they fall apart and never pick that back up.  See you on the field to see how the picture gets finished. Love this thing of ours.

Current Standings

AFC             M2      DIVISION                         NFC          M2       DIVISION

PATRIOTS  9-0          6-0                              EAGLES        7-2          4-2
RAIDERS    6-3          3-3                              FALCONS     4-5          3-3
STEELERS  5-4          3-3                              COWBOYS   3-6          3-3
BROWNS   0-9          0-6                              SEAHWAKS  3-6          2-4

Patriots and the Eagles have clinched a first round bye. The Raiders and Steelers will be playing in the AFC Wild card game. And in the NFC the Falcons will have to win this upcoming Sunday to clinch a playoff spot and the Cowboys and Seahawks will battle til week 11 to find out but the Cowboys have that spot to lose. We still have alot of game left to play these two last weeks. Patriots can be the first team to go undefeated in this league and the Browns can be the first team not to win a game during a regular season in league history.  So are the Patriots going to let the starters relax or are they going to risk injuries and losing key players for the playoffs? Are the Eagles going to keep their starters on the field or are they getting some much needed rest? And what about the Raiders and Steelers? Are they going to try new plays to see if they can bring something new that might just be enough to push them into the Superbowl? And the Falcons..... are they gonna finally get their stuff together in time to properly defend their crown? Seahawks started this season on fire and fizzled out at the wrong time and now find themselves fighting for the last spot. And the opposite is true about the Cowboys, they started a little off and stayed focused and worked on their game and you can tell everytime they took the field. Now the Boys find themselves pretty close to going into the playoffs. This has been a year of some contraversy and great plays. Their has been some great moments and not so great moments. But this season has been very competitive and if you dont adapt, you will lose.

Almost Done

So we are getting closer to finding out who's getting the bye week in the NFC but it's still too early to say for certain.  Eagles are still in first place in their division. Butbthere has been some crazy developments in the last couple of weeks.  The Cowboys have stepped up taken out the defending champs Falcons, the team that is currently in first place Eagles,  and now they took out the Seahawks.  And by doing so have positioned themselves in 3rd place and if it ended today they would be playing the Falcons in the wildcard.  The Patriots have clinched a first round bye and are basically coasting trying to wait til the playoffs.  Looks like it could be the Steelers currently in 2nd place in their division going against the Raiders who are on a roll right now and look unstoppable.  This should be good.

Half way through

So it looks like we are half way through the season.  AFC has the only undefeated team in the league right now.  The Patriots had a few good challenges but seems to be a legit threat to the crown.  They are a well balanced squad and mix things up enough to keep defenses on their toes.
The Falcons finally look like the defending champs.  The NFC looks like is the hardest conference and the records reflect that.  The competition is intense but the love these guys show each other during and after the games is incredible.
This league is easily one of the best we've seen.  And by the comments made fans that show up,  it is gonna grow even more next season.
God bless this thing of ours.

Apologies

We will be back on here in a couple of days to get you updated. Sorry for the delays.

Week 3

Patriots vs Steelers was your second game.  And again we thought the speed on the Steelers team was going to give the Patriots a problem but the Pats seemed to have a game plan for it.  Steelers qb seemed to have to put his team on his back just to give them a chance to score.  Both teams were missing some players.  Steelers seem to have players that might have had a long night and we're struggling to get into game mode.  Patriots were prepared and executed a game plan that seemed flawless no matter of who was missing. Patriots are the only undefeated team and we are looking forward to see how they can finish.

Week 3

Another week down and now we are about 1/3 way through the season.  This when teams start to show signs of what kind of teams they can be for the rest of the season.
First was a pretty good one.  Seahawks vs Cowboys.  We thought this one was going to be an upset after watching the Boys play hard as hell these past 2 weeks. Seahawks didn't get the memo.  Cowboys came out mixing it up pretty well and did seem to move the ball with ease from time to time.  A few drives ended up just falling apart close to the endzone.  Seemed like a few players we're a little hesitant to finish a run or a play.  Seahawks tend to get teams off balance just by playing with intensity and aggressiveness.  Seahawks adapted quickly to the weather and were hitting on all cylinders. Shirt out routes,  runs, and a couple of qb keepers seemed to get the Cowboys on their heels and give the Seahawks a big enough that they were able to finish the game with another win.

Still Week 2

So the Patriots vs Raiders was an interesting game.  Two big squads going at it.  Some people waiting around to watch this one.  Good game to watch and they look like they both are finally getting their teams together nicely.  A little fine tuning this next Sunday and we should see what these two teams are really gonna look like for the rest of the year.

Monday, August 26, 2013

Week 2

Falcons vs Seahawks was a good game to watch.  Seahawks looked good.  They came out full of energy and with what looked like a good game plan.  Their lb Joey is a problem.  Seems liken he gas some sticky substance on his gloves or he's shooting out webs like spidey. The kid can't miss a flag.  Falcons turned it up and took control of the game and they never gave it back.  This was a better showing for the champs than week one.  The Falcons have gotten a little bit more focused and are getting ready to defend what's theirs. And that's the gold sucka.

After Week 2

Here we go.  Steelers vs Browns was a good game to watch.  Browns we're out in force and the defense looked okay.  Their offense couldn't get it going though.  They had some great moments but it came few and too far in between.  Steelers looked like the most polished team that day and are officially the first team to get 7 touchdowns this season.  They were moving the ball almost at will after the Browns defense spend some much time on the field they looked spent. Steelers are coming together nicely. And if you're asleep or awake,  they can still beat you.  They are a very fast team and it looks as if they have created a problem for some of the bigger sized squads out there.  Let's see what happens next week,  can they do it again.

After Week 2

So this was a very good week to be a fan of this thing of ours.  Eagles 's Cowboys was not a game to miss.  Some may say it was the game of the week.  Some players thought it was going to be an easy win for the Eagles but someone forgot to tell the Cowboys.  They came out and not only matched the Eagles intensity but actually got a 14 points lead with only 2 minutes remaining in the game.  Then the GODS answered a prayer for the Eagles and number 21 got a pick with his back at his own endzone and took it all the way down the field with green jerseys leading the way.  Their qb Philly came back on the field after another defensive stop and marched down the field twice to go up by 1 with only 15 seconds left.  With one last hail Mary pass the Cowboys gave it everything they had to take it to overtime.  With a wide receiver in the endzone and not one defender around,  it looked as if it was gonna go there.  Ball hit him in the hands and with 2 bounces it fell to the ground with the Cowboys hope of leaving with a W yesterday was crushed.  Cowboys are not a joke and if you take them likely or don't come prepared....  you can leave with a mark in your loss column.  If the Eagles don't get their offense in rhytmn and get their players in check....  they won't win another game.  Yes we said it....  more to come later today.

About To Go Down

So the 2013 season is about to start.  There's alot of talk going around who's better than who, what teams are gonna have an easy win on Sunday.  And to tell you the truth,  it's kinda hard to pick out a winner this Sunday.  The defending champs are that,  defending CHAMPS so you gotta respect that they will show up ready to defend the crown.  They play a Cowboys team that is very explosive and can score on anyone. The Cowboys just need to make sure they don't try anything to fancy and keep doing what ever is working to give them a great chance on pulling an upset.
Now we don't have to say much about the rest if the day because the matchups are insane.  Raiders the one time champs against what is being considered the fastest team in the league, the Steelers.  You have the, one time champs, Eagles going against a team that is extremely talented in every position. A team that people are saying are the only ones that can knock down the champs.  And that's the Seahawks.
And we finish the day with the only team to have gotten the gold twice.  A team that started it all.  The Mad Ink Browns are  filled with new talent and a hunger that the crown can only fulfill. They are going against,  what some are calling,  the smartest team in the league.  If you hear them tell it,  they are the reason  why the Falcons have the crown.  And that is the Patriots.
All in all it's gonna be a great  week 1. Hope everyone has fun and stays safe.

It's Almost Time

So the banquet is about a week away.  We seen the list for awards and the number of votes that were put in....  let's just say we wish people took this a little more seriously.  The players getting awards are good and deserving of some recognition. But we do think some players were left out. Could be because owners we're asked to give thirty opinions in June and failed to do so.  Could be because back in April only 3 players put in their votes.  Back regardless...  these players are good and should feel honored that they were chosen. Now lets see how many people complain and how many players raise their game up just a little. See ya at the banquet.

2013 Season

So the 2013 Season is just around the corner.  This season seems like it's gonna be the best one ever.  We have 8 great teams with a bunch of talented players.  Games are now an hour and a half and promises to be fast action and surprise finishes.  There are a few teams we are keeping a close eye on.  First it's the defending champs Falcons.  We want to see if they still have the hunger they brought into the league last year.  Last season they had a fire that proved to be too much for the other teams.  Falcons finished the season becoming champs and are bringing back almost the entire team. Will they have the fight still in them?  Or are they satisfied being a one time champ?
The Patriots are put together by a few players from last season's champs. They know what it takes to be competitive in this league and have the talent to be a true contender for the crown.  We really can't wait to see this team in action.
The last team we are keeping an eye on is one of the oldest teams in this league. The Mad Ink Browns.  These guys seemed to haven't found the qb piece they were missing and already have pieces in place to take the top spot from everyone in the AFC.  These guys have more heart and now have a voice on the field to guide these guys into the endzone. Let's see if a leader will rise and take this 2 ring wearing team back into the big show.

Who's next

Owner's Meeting Recap

So there was an owner's meeting yesterday. And from we understand, it was the best owners meeting yet. Owners talked to each other and discussed issues from last year and also came up with a way to fix those issues in a very fair and impartial way. Schedules were discussed, they went over any changes to the rules and they also talked being committed to taking more ownership of the people they bring into this thing of ours.
When it came to rules, their weren't any real changes done to them. The focus is going to be more on the Refs doing a better job of enforcing the ones we have already. Owners talked about holding the Refs accountable to poor performance and just like teams get fined, the Refs get fined as well. If they are obviously calling the game in favor of one particular team, they forfeit pay and may be replaced. But this also means that no one can disrespect a Ref. And only owners and Team Captains can speak to a Ref to discuss a missed call a or to get a better understanding of the penalty called. Once the call is explained then that's it. Play must resume.
Owners also talked about players being ejected. And sportsmanship being a very important piece to bring back into this thing of ours. Basically the way it works is that if a player is trying to get into it with other players and is going around trying to talking and just conducting himself in a manner to disrupt our games, then owners will get together to discuss what should happen to that one player. They will talk to the commissioner and have him talk to that player's team owner. If the issue persist then the owners will get together to determine if that player should be suspended or even thrown out of the League. This is done to maintain the integrity of the league and keep everything as fair as possible. The outcome is based on a majority vote and in case of a tie the commissioner will be the deciding vote.
Games are going to be an hour and half long. This is done to be able to fit all games in time allotted. This also means that games will start on time and once the field is set up the teams only have 15 minutes to take the field and start the games. If for any reason a team cannot get their teams ready on time, then it will cause them to forfeit and fine will follow. Again this is to keep these games moving along. Time will not be pushed forward to take up any more time unless it goes into overtime. There is no ties in this league.
There is a Wild Card now. This is very exciting and we think this will make the League more competitive. You will have the 2 teams with the best record earn a bye week. second and third seed teams will battle to earn the right to compete against the best to advance to the big game. This a first for the league and we all seen what a playoff game did to give teams a better shot of becoming champs. We are very excited to see what this brings and to see which teams take advantage of this.
Owners were also asked to make final payment for their teams by the 7th of July 2013. Rosters must finished and handed in at that time if they haven't already. As far as we know the Raiders and Eagles are the only ones that turned in a full roster. Owners are suppose to give the league their votes for "Offensive Player of The year." "Defensive Player of The year." "Rookie of The year." "Most Improved Player." "and "Impact Player."
We think we covered everything that was discussed at the Owner's Meeting and we hope we did a good job explaining them.

                                                                                  Thanks For The Support,
                                                                                   This Thing Of Ours

Message to the Players

So with the new season about to start, and awards being right around the corner. We take this time to thank everyone that played last year and gave it everything they had. We understand that everyone feels as if they played well enough to get some type of recognition in trophy form, the truth is that there was a lot of guys that were playing some good football. Awards were given to those are the most consistent. Players that sacrifice everything to give their teams the best chance to leave the field with a win. We try to be as fair as possible and acquire the services of people who take themselves off of the awards list just to make sure that great players get recognized. Lets keep in mind that your votes are asked for during the off season but not everyone votes.... Lets get this season started right and start looking at getting some more young people in this thing.

Champs

New Season

So the AFC looks completed and you guys got some info on the teams. Let's talk about the NFC real quick. The defending champs are coming back and coming back with some added talent.  They are going to have a major piece back coming off of an injury.  The Falcons are favored to win it all again.  We have the Seahawks comings thru with some of it's players coming from that crazybtalented team the Saints. The Eagles are starting from scratch. That may be a problem.  They may just come in as a new team with an old name. And we know that new teams don't do to well. They promised to bring a new look and a new attitude.  We will see.

New Season

So it looks like we have our six teams.  The league is working on getting a permit and some better refs to be able to move into having 8 teams and lights on.
The AFC  is starting to look like the Browns are coming back.  They are joined by two teams that have key coming from other teams. The Patriots are coming from the new champs, they look like they will be a great addition to the league and are going to be fun to watch.  The Steelers have players coming the Eagles and you already know they will be extremely fast and hard to catch.
Stay tuned for more from your league....
